Nearly 400 people packed the Flyers Skate Zone in Vorhees NJ to watch exhibition AHL hockey. That tells you all you need to know about how people are coping with the NHL lockout in Philadelphia.

As for the game, things didn’t go very well on the ice as the Albany Devils scored 3 goals in the first period in route to a 5-3 win. Flyers goal tending prospect Niko Hovinen had rough afternoon surrendering 5 goals on 23 shots, Hovinen played all 3 periods for Adirondack.

Danny Syvret got the Phantoms going with a goal in the closing minutes of the first period. Matt Ford and Tye McGinn also collected goals for Adirondack, who out shot Albany 47-23 in the loss.

As mentioned the fans packed skate zone this afternoon and were in mid-season form, loud as ever but when will be the next time Flyers fans get to see live hockey?

As reported earlier by Darren Dreger of TSN, talks are not going anywhere and no further meetings have been scheduled.
