Voracek

According to a report from CSN Philly, Flyers forward Jakub Voracek sustained a knee injury this weekend. He is currently playing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for HC Lev Praha.

Petr Svoboda, Voracek's agent, said that it was just a knee sprain and that Jake will only be sidelined for a week.

Another source told CSN Philly that the injury is worse.

Should the injury be severe, the Flyers will have a problem once the season gets underway. Voracek is expected to play right wing on the top line. If the injury isn't bad, like Svoboda suggests, the Flyers dodged a bullet.

While the severity of this injury remains unknown, it is certain that Voracek will miss some time playing in Europe.

UPDATE (10:35PM): HC Lev Praha issued a statement on the injury of Voracek. According to the team, Voracek injured his knee in the third period of Saturday's game vs. SKA St. Petersburg. Early indication is that he will be out of the lineup for four weeks.
